2. Early access

To request early access, email hello@cervoo.com with the subject “Getaways Early Access.” If you include your city (or where you want to explore) and what you’re into, we’ll do our best to start you with plan ideas that fit.

Helpful details to include:

  • Your city/metro and a typical time (e.g., “Sat 10–6”).
  • What you’re in the mood for (cozy, artsy, outdoorsy, food crawl, etc.).
  • Any constraints (kid-friendly, accessibility needs, vegetarian, “no driving,” etc.).

3. Reporting a bug

When reporting a bug, please include:

  • What you expected to happen vs. what happened.
  • Steps to reproduce (as specific as possible).
  • Device model and iOS version (e.g., “iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18.x”).
  • App version (if available) and whether you were on Wi‑Fi/cellular (or had no signal).
  • Screenshots or a short screen recording (optional, but very helpful).

If your issue involves a specific place or search, include the exact text you searched for and the approximate area you were searching near.

3.1 Quick troubleshooting checklist

  • Force-quit and reopen the app.
  • Confirm you’re on the latest app version (and the latest iOS you can reasonably install).
  • Check permissions in iOS Settings (Location, Calendar, Photos if sharing images, etc.).
  • If a map search looks off, try switching between Wi‑Fi and cellular or try again later (provider data can be temporarily stale).

4. Common questions

4.1 “Do I need an account?”

Getaways is designed to feel great without friction. If account features are offered later (for example, cross-device sync), we’ll be clear about what’s required and why.

4.2 “Will it work if I lose signal?”

Getaways is built for when you’re out and about. Saved plans are designed to stay available on your phone even with spotty reception. Some actions—like searching for new places—may require an internet connection depending on your device and Apple’s services.

4.3 “Why does a map result look wrong?”

Place data can change (hours, names, pin locations). If a place looks wrong, try:

  • Checking the venue name spelling.
  • Zooming in/out on the map or searching a nearby landmark.
  • Using fewer keywords (“bakery” instead of “best croissant bakery”).

If it’s consistently wrong, email us the query you used and the area you were searching.

4.4 “Can I share a plan with friends?”

That’s a core use case. Sharing uses your device’s share sheet, so you can send via Messages, Mail, or other apps you’ve installed.

4.5 “Can I add this to Calendar?”

Yes—Getaways is designed to let you turn a plan into real calendar blocks. iOS will ask for permission when you attempt to add events. If Calendar access is denied, you can re-enable it in iOS Settings.

4.6 “Why is Getaways asking for Location?”

Location can help suggest places near you (or where you’re headed) and keep map results relevant. Location is optional—deny it if you prefer. If you grant Location, you can choose approximate or precise location in iOS Settings and change it at any time.

4.7 “Can I request a specific city or neighborhood?”

Yes. The best plans are city‑specific. Email us the city, a few neighborhoods or landmarks you care about, and the kind of pacing you like, and we’ll use it to guide future suggestions.

5. Feature requests

Feature requests are welcome. The most helpful requests include the situation, your goal, and what “success” looks like. Example: “We’re two parents with a stroller, 10–2, want something calm and walkable, with one indoor stop.”

For privacy questions or requests (access/deletion/correction), email hello@cervoo.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Billing and refunds

If Getaways offers paid features in the future, purchases on iOS may be handled through Apple’s in‑app purchase systems. Refund eligibility and processing are typically governed by Apple’s policies. For billing questions, email us and we’ll point you to the right next step.

8. Accessibility

We want Getaways to be usable for everyone. If you encounter an accessibility issue, please tell us what screen you were on, what assistive tech you use (VoiceOver, larger text, etc.), and what didn’t work.

9. Security & responsible disclosure

If you believe you’ve found a security issue, email hello@cervoo.com with “Security” in the subject line and include as much detail as possible. Please do not publicly disclose vulnerabilities until we’ve had a chance to investigate.

We’re a small team. We do our best to respond quickly, but response times may vary—especially during early access. Including clear reproduction steps and device details helps us help you faster.
